Northern Ireland s 1st Quad-Lock construction is underway

 Following thorough consideration of many approaches to maximising the energy-productivity of a new 21st century residence, MCK are delighted to have been commissioned to construct this new standard in energy efficient buildings - a 1st for Northern Ireland using Quad-Lock. The vicinity of the new project has an approximate carbon footprint of 1 million tonnes annually i.e. CO2 source emissions per square kilometre, which is attributed to human activity....

9m for developers of high energy efficient housing

 Energy Minister Eamon Ryan TD today announced a new grant scheme which will provide financial support for the construction of highly energy efficient, low carbon housing. The Low Carbon Homes Programme, which will be administered by Sustainable Energy Ireland, will provide grants of up to 40% of eligible expenditure to encourage large developments of new homes to an energy performance standard well in excess of the recently adopted building Regulations. Homes built under the Programme will be at least 70% more energy efficient and produce at least 70% less carbon dioxide than homes built...
